Meltem Kaptan graduated from the Food Engineering Department of the Middle East Technical University. She started her career as a research assistant at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, where she conducted academic studies in food microbiology and food safety, presenting her work at international conferences and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.

Bringing her expertise in R&D to the private sector, she began working in R&D Department at Unilever Turkey, where she held the role of Technical Project Leader for the Algida and Lipton brands. She managed new product development projects across Turkey, the Middle East, and Sub-Saharan Africa, and received training in ice cream technologies in the UK and Italy. Later, as the R&D Director at Panda Dondurma – Has Gıda San. ve Tic. AŞ, she led product and packaging development projects, worked on legal processes, and served on the Executive Board of the Packaged Dairy Products Association.

With years of experience in the ice cream industry, she noticed that key texture-modifying blends in ice cream were largely imported, with limited local alternatives. Motivated by this gap, she decided to launch her own venture to provide industry-specific solutions.

Our company, starting with the Dengemix brand, is a local producer with expertise in ice cream technology, offering innovative, professional, and tailored solutions in the production of texture-modifying blends and technical consultancy. With a customer-focused approach and the value it brings to the industry, Dengemix aims to be a strong partner for ice cream manufacturers.
